Before we can repair the sinkhole, we need to assess the current state of your driveway.
During this phase, we’ll visit your property, evaluate your driveway, and determine the current depth and width of any existing sinkholes.
We’ll provide a comprehensive price estimate for our repair services based on our site visit and evaluation.
When you approve the estimate, we’ll schedule the repair project at a time that works for you and your family in the coming weeks or months.
When it’s time for the project to begin, we’ll mobilize our large equipment, including our excavator and tool truck.
Next, we’ll repair the sinkhole. We do this by using a saw to cut the affected asphalt and remove it.
Next, we excavate 24-36 inches beneath the sinkhole to see what’s there and determine what’s creating the sinkhole.
Most of the time, the sinkhole is caused by an old, rotted tree root. Other times, it’s a network of gopher holes and burrows.
Once we’ve identified the cause, we compact the soil beneath the hole and add layers of fill material until the sinkhole is repaired.
Finally, we repave the area with top-mix asphalt.
To allow the asphalt to cure, we barricade the driveway to prevent both vehicle and foot traffic until the asphalt has cured.
Once we’ve finished repairing the sinkhole, we’ll inspect the area with you.
We’ll ensure you’re satisfied with the results and help you understand what caused the sinkhole in the first place and how to stop it from happening again.

During our site inspection, we’ll evaluate the location and severity of the sinkhole and let you know if it’s safe to use or if you need to stay off the driveway until it’s repaired.
We allow 4-5 hours for the cure process and a day for the entire job.
During our evaluation and inspection with our heavy equipment, we determine the cause of the sinkhole and repair it at the source. Usually, the issue is a tree root, and we can say with 99% certainty that it won’t reoccur.
