FAQs

What paving services are best for coastal or hillside properties?

For homes near the ocean or on slopes, we recommend erosion-resistant asphalt, proper drainage grading, and slope stabilization solutions. We also offer hydroseeding and riprap installation to protect your driveway or pad from long-term environmental wear.

How does the weather affect asphalt paving in Santa Cruz and Monterey Counties?

The coastal climate can accelerate erosion and moisture damage. That’s why we use materials and compaction techniques specifically chosen for Central Coast conditions, ensuring durability despite fog, rain, or salt exposure.

Do you offer paving and grading services for ADUs or backyard builds?

Yes, we work with homeowners and contractors to prep pads and install driveways or utility access for accessory dwelling units (ADUs), detached garages, and other backyard structures.

What should I expect during a site evaluation?

We’ll assess soil stability, slope, access, drainage, and any potential permitting needs. You’ll get a detailed breakdown of scope, timeline, and pricing based on your site’s unique conditions.

Can you remove an old concrete driveway before paving?

Absolutely. We provide demolition and removal of existing asphalt, concrete, slabs, or structures before starting any new paving or grading work, saving you time and hassle.

What’s the difference between resurfacing and repaving a driveway?

Resurfacing adds a new layer to an existing asphalt surface, ideal for cosmetic fixes. Repaving involves removing and replacing the old asphalt entirely, recommended when the base is damaged or unstable.
